It all started with a big dream on a little napkin.

Spoken Studio was created out of the desire to bring value to those around us.

Living in Stellenbosch, South Africa, we were constantly surrounded by creative entrepreneurs with big (and beautiful) dreams, but not enough time and capacity to share their growing business with the online world.

So we created a place where modern brands meet a team of creative digital mavens to come alongside them in building an intentional online presence that actually converts!

Meet Celeste

SPOKEN’s co-founder, CEO and brilliant creative director.

She’s bright like sunshine and bubbly like champagne - with the ability to read a moment with gentleness and sensitivity, always leaving a room sweeter and happier than she found it.

“I founded this company upon the conviction that we are created by a Creator, and that being creative is the most worthy response. In the last few years I’ve witnessed how this creativity has beautifully collided with a desire to see other creative entrepreneurs grow.

It was in the early days of 2017, working in Meraki (the OG of coffee shops in Stellenbosch - also, Spoken Studio’s first client) I realised that creativity and community is what brings me to life. It’s in the sweet spot of knowing that ‘together we go further’, that I started coming alongside incredible entrepreneurs to help them grow their businesses in the digital space - from branding + building websites, to creating content and growing brands on social media.

After rapid growth in 2020, the napkin-dream finally became a reality as one of my best friends, Sunandi (COO), joined Spoken as my partner.

Between projects, you'll find me cooking to the soulful tunes of Gregory Porter, negotiating rainbows and paw patrol with my kids, reading a book (or Darling magazine), or sipping a smooth flat white while catching up on the day with my husband.”

She is our big dreamer, she runs operations like she does mountains, giver-of-the-best-hugs, ultra stylist (and trailblazer)…and she always nails the shot!

“Working in the corporate marketing world for 6 years before partnering up with Celeste gave me a learning opportunity second to none. During 2020 I experienced the same uncertainty and fears that you probably did when starting your own business as I felt the seasons change and that it was time for a new adventure.  

I’ve always enjoyed being creative, but it has only been in the last couple of years pouring my heart into our clients that I’ve realised just how much JOY it brings with it.

Spoken is where I come alive! I have the opportunity to work with clients that truly inspire me and I’m able to serve them with results-driven excellence AND be creative at the same time. All of this alongside one of my best friends — let me tell you, it’s pure magic and a life-giving adventure every day of the week.

When I’m not keeping myself busy creating beautiful content and mapping out a client’s digital road to success, you can find me in the kitchen trying out new recipes, cooking up a storm for my husband, friends & family. Or I’ll be out exploring on the trails & mountain tops.”

    Equal parts visual thinker and no-nonsense truth-teller. I take my design with purpose, my feedback with honesty, and my champagne cold. People person at heart, but don’t let the resting focus face fool you.

    Where purpose meets pixels, that’s where you’ll find me—flat white in hand, ideas brewing. I live for salty snacks, pretty textiles and cinematic tearjerkers. People person? Absolutely. Film fanatic? Always. I believe design can do more than just look good. It can heal, help, and hold.
